The results of evaluation of the educational and methodological complex “Practical Course of English” (edited by V. D. Arakin) by students of linguistic fields are provided. Significant attention is paid to the task of updating and modernizing the educational material, with due account to modern requirements and needs of students, which will enable the universities to improve the quality of education and to meet modern educational standards.
