Abstract:
The author substantiates the importance of applying a competence approach in teaching translation on the basis of FGOS 3++ competences. Studying translation subjects is aimed at the intercultural communication. Therefore, the methodology of the competence approach in the process of teaching translation is able to help a student to settle in it by means of forming skills of subject-subject interaction. The author concludes that the methodology should be based on the system method and should have a practical orientation, for it includes the realization of linguistic, socio-cultural, and psychological components in the educational process.
