The authors study the privacy as an important social phenomenon in modern digital society. Four philosophical dimensions of privacy are identified: ontological, epistemological, axiological and praxeological. The main focus is on the fact that in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies, the need to protect personal space becomes urgent, which necessitates a deep understanding of the nature of privacy and its significance. It has been concluded that privacy is not an absolute concept, on the contrary, it has certain boundaries and varies depending on historical, cultural and social contexts, and the creation of a secure private sphere affects the general well-being of a person and his/her ability to interact socially.
