In this work, the impact of digitalization on aesthetic perception and the transformation of the beauty category in virtual reality are examined. The evolution of the philosophical and aesthetic concept of beauty from antiquity to modernity, as well as the interpretation of beauty and aesthetic principles in a digital context were analyzed. Special attention is paid to the role of technologies such as artificial intelligence, social networks and virtual environments in the formation of new aesthetic standards and means of self-expression. The authors have formulated the main problems related to digital beauty standards, identity crisis and cultural biases of algorithms. The study highlights that digital aesthetics not only changes traditional ideas about beauty but also opens up new horizons for its perception and interpretation.
