The author studies the features of translating neologisms from English into Russian in popular science texts. The research is carried out on the example of modern terms and expressions that are actively used in scientific publications and popular scientific literature. The ways of neologisms formation are considered. The methods and strategies of translating new words and expressions are analysed, including such methods as transliteration, calquing, transcribing and descriptive translation.
