In this work, the authors examine the communicative design as a current state of a graphic design. The issues of the peculiarities of creating signs and images (through the lens of instrumental aspect), including those of overcoming optical illusions and distortions, and of the digital environment interactivity are raised. It has been pointed out that shifting the focus of design to communication issues emphasizes technological and social problems, information organization, and visual appeal. The authors highlight the growing importance of the social aspect in design, where society perceives the “technological” style as a global identity, forming standards in the graphical interface.
