LEADERSHIP AS THE REALIZATION OF PERSONAL POTENTIAL
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
In this work, the authors reveal the problem of leadership in the context of not only leadership qualities, but also personal potential, which is defined as internal resources and realised through self-concept. The method of opposition was used to analyze the individual, genuine nature of leadership and its social, purposefully created one. Similar approach was applied to the existential modulations of leadership charisma formation — ethical and unethical charismatic leadership, to the positional and dynamic aspects of leadership, as well as in relation to the norms of leadership behaviour. The historical-comparative method was used to study charisma. The mythological forces of personal potential as the oldest sources of leadership worldview have been considered. The authors link leadership to the spiritual properties of the individual and to emotional intelligence and draw attention to the application of the leadership-serving model to prevent leadership risks such as loneliness and conflicts.
