The author analyzes René Descartes’ philosophical idea of the “man-machine” model endowed with a soul. The dualism of mind and body and its impact on the development of European science and philosophy is examined. The author explores the transformation of the divine concept in humans and the role of human mind in shaping personality. Special attention is given to the analysis of social transformations carried out through social engineering, implemented by constructing the personality model in the socio-cultural sphere of modern philosophy and social systems.
