THE CONCEPT OF ETHICAL CONSUMPTION IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITALIZATION

Abstract:
In this work, the author investigates rational consumption models, the transition to which is among the significant goals of sustainable development. The factors of actualization of the problem of ethical consumption in the context of modern scientific discourse are analyzed. The review of the main approaches to the definition of the essence and content of the concept of ethical consumption is carried out. The conclusions have been formulated that digitalization is a factor in expanding the personal responsibility of the consumer for the ethics of consumer behavior, and that digital technologies serve as tool for demonstrating and promoting ethical consumption patterns.
