In this work, the problem of the role of trade unions in the system of corporate social responsibility relations in the Russian oil and gas industry is considered. The definition of corporate social responsibility has been introduced. It was shown that trade unions perform guaranteeing, representative, signaling and information and educational functions. The role of trade unions as independent and significant institutions in the system of corporate social responsibility of components is demonstrated by the example of oil and gas industry enterprises.
