In this work, domestic trends in the Russian veterinary pharmaceutical industry are analyzed and the risks and main directions of development of this economy sector are assessed. It has been proved that after the introduction of sanctions on the veterinary drugs import, the domestic market of the veterinary pharmaceutical industry is recovering: the share of domestic preparations, vaccines and disinfectants for animals is increasing. It is concluded that the volume of the domestic market in terms of veterinary pharmaceutical products for livestock and pet animals tends to further accelerate development with the support not only of entrepreneurs, but also of the government.
